20s Sheer Raw Silk Embroidered Dress
HIPS: Open up to 46"
LENGTH: 36 1/2"
This is the type of dress that brands like Free People and Urban Outfitters are trying to replicate. This is an early 20th Century, 1910s-1920s Black Raw Silk Dress. There is gorgeous embroidery that makes a rectangular pattern across the bodice. There are small flowers embroidered on the skirt, and they appear again at the hemline. There is gorgeous and delicate lace detailing throughout the entire dress. This is a drop waist style flapper dress that is meant to be loose fitting. It also has hints of Edwardian details. It is in great condition for it's age. See below for specifics. This would be an amazing dress for a festival! You could wear a bodysuit underneath or a pretty vintage slip. Would also be cute with high waisted jeans and just a lace black bra underneath. This is a historical collector's piece that would be an amazing gift for the fashion design student or seamstress in your life!
CONDITION: This dress is in good condition for almost 100 years old or older! There is only one small hole that we could find. There are a few areas with loose strings. One of the underarms was ripped about 1" long and it was repaired. This piece can be added to a collection, but it is still sturdy enough to be worn!
