This One of a Kind Embellished Flood Duster is celebrating orange in a tasteful way. This piece and vibrant and fun, but with an Earthy and grounded vibe. I've titled this Earth, Wind & Fire because it has all the elements - the fur is Earth, the sheer lightweight movement is air, & the color palette is fire. The trim is a super fun metallic fabric that plays with the light along with the gold sequin and buttons. The collar is handmade from vintage rabbit fur that was dyed orange. There is variation in the shades of orange present in the fur, giving it as natural an appearance as dye can. This piece is definitely for a specific personality, but when they align, they'll be inseparable.
CONDITION:
This one of a kind robe is in vintage condition. This piece was destined for the landfill but we saw it's potential. There maybe a few missing sequins, but you won't notice. No stains or discolorations to note. There was a blemish in the fur - I spent hours carefully removing some type of disintegrated paper (sticker?) from within the fur. It is not visible, but you may find some small white flecks from time to time - can be gentley combed out.
OUR STANCE ON FUR:
Our motto is "If we're not wearing it, we're wasting it." We only purchase fur that is vintage or secondhand, therefore our purchases/sales are not supporting the current fur industry. We 100% do not support the farming & killing of animals for their coats. However, in the case of vintage & secondhand furs, the deed has already been done. We hate the idea of boycotting ALL fur because if we're not wearing it, the life has been wasted, and for no purpose. In fact, fur (& silk) is one of the most eco-friendly fabrics because it will eventually fully decompose once in a landfill, unlike synthetic fabrics (& synthetic fur) made from plastic. Long story short, we are simply saving & appreciating what is already in existence so that it is not being wasted. <3
